As a research team head: We develop and apply tools to study problems in Bio- and Complex Fluid Mechanics. We use these to propose new hypotheses for verification or development as products by our collaborators.
We have successfully demonstrated the potential of CFD using locally available tools to predict sites of atherosclerosis, and also used a mathematical model of coagulation to document the effect of procoagulant platelets.
We have recently proposed a new fluid model that mimics the response of viscoplastic materials, and studied it's features in classical problems like Stokes' first problem and Jeffery-Hamel flow.
