Abstract
We have successfully prepared carbon xerogel nanoparticles by inverse emulsification with the help of repetitive sedimentation XRD and RAMAN confirmed that the carbon nanoparticles are hard carbon (non-graphitic) particles. Reversible lithium intercalation capacity was stabilized about 400 mAh/g (> graphite intercalation capacity) after 15 cycles. © American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
