We report a microfluidic device for imaging Tau protein aggregation. On-chip investigation of Tau aggregation and Tau - drug interaction was performed, using a micromixing platform. Tau aggregation was realized through ATP conjugation and the effect of Methylthioninium chloride (MTC), an Alzheimer's drug was investigated in order to define optimum drug concentration. Regaining of native Tau protein was analysed by scanning confocal microscopy, using a Fluorescence-based microfluidic antibody assay. Numerical simulations were performed in order to optimize device mixing performance. The proposed work could be useful in the development of On-chip drug design and drug screening platforms. © 2019 CBMS-0001.
