Abstract
The applications of vibrational resonance measurement for monitoring damage imparted to end-mounted hollow concrete cylinders subjected to monotonic and cyclic torsional loads were studied. The most significant vibrational modes, of all the possible modes setup within the specimen, were identified. The frequency value of these significant modes in the concrete specimen were experimentally obtained throughout a controlled cyclic testing procedure failure. The effects of the two damage types on the frequency values of the modes were studied.
