An attempt was made for the first time to selectively alloy aluminum with copper using friction stir processing. The objective was successfully accomplished and the copper-alloyed stir zone was found to respond well to artificial aging. Potential applications of friction stir selective alloying were outlined. © 2016

There are separate programs for technology, design, science, and liberal arts.
