Abstract
Herein, we report a low cost and highly selective electrochemical sensor for the detection of glutathione (GSH) using sulfonated carbon microspheres and nanosheets (SCMN) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with an ultra-low limit of detection of 24.91 pM along with excellent stability and reproducibility. The sensor is successful in the detection of GSH in biological fluids such as blood serum samples with excellent recovery percentages from ~92.97 to ~101.58%. Thus, SCMN/GCE makes a promising platform for developing low-cost, biocompatible electrodes for biosensing applications. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.
